Shafter community events and Colours Festival launch
Shafter area groups promote a 55 year high school reunion contact Bill Thompson and offer senior outreach, PiYo classes, youth leagues, and Medi Cal help. The Shafter Christian Fellowship partners with Kern CAP for a monthly food giveaway. Colours Festival of the Arts debuts in Shafter with film screenings, plays, art gallery, wine tasting, and a spaghetti dinner kickoff February 20 at Veterans Hall. Proceeds fund scholarships.
