Homeless census shows slight Kern County drop yet more unsheltered
Preliminary Kern County census counts 1,472 unduplicated homeless on Jan 21 and 22, down from 2007 but with 664 sheltered and 808 unsheltered. Bakersfield Metro records 1,317 and rural 155, with 12 rural families living in cars or camps.
