Fred M Stewart of Santa Paula was chosen to the Board of Directors at the Agricultural Ammonia Institute annual convention in New Orleans. The institute groups manufacturers and distributors of ammonia fertilizer and promotes NH 3 as a growth stimulant. Stewart serves as vice-president and general manager of Agricultural Ammonia Service Inc with branches in Patterson Hartford Visalia Bakersfield Santa Barbara Lancaster and Santa Paula. Tractor makers sold about 23 percent of production abroad in 1952.
