Morales Family Expands Shafter Cement Plant Output
At their East Los Angeles Avenue location behind Holiday Ford, Code Precast now employs 20 people and manufactures manhole materials, water troughs, oilfield sleepers, containment vaults and catch basins, with septic tanks and seepage pit liners by special order. Abe Morales notes a new batch plant added last August speeds production. About 25 percent of business serves the dairy industry, with shipments across California and to Idaho, Arizona and Wisconsin.
