Shafter High School senior Brad Everett earned an appointment to the U S Naval Academy in Annapolis Maryland after a two year scouting period. Rodriguez gets 90 days for probation violation in DUI case
In a tense Northern Municipal Court session on Friday, 31-year-old Rodriguez of Shafter pleaded guilty to violating probation and was sentenced to 90 days in jail. The case ties to a Nov. 13, 1990, fatal accident on Lerdo Highway near Lerdo School involving Dana Hilderbrand and Rodriguez. She had previously been ordered to pay restitution, perform community service, and serve three years of probation. The judgment requires attendance at Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and forbids alcohol use. sentencing dates place the start of jail time on March 20.
