Second Attorneys Secured For Water Fight Dissolution

Dedicatory ceremonies mark Minter Field dedication
Military officials and civilian guests gathered at Minter Field five miles east of Shafter for the official dedication of the United States Army Air Corps Basic Training school. Lt Col Sam W Cheyney delivered the dedicatory address in Col Carl W Pyle's absence, and Lt Col Kenneth C McGregor represented Shafter. The event featured a luncheon, a flag ceremony, a troop review led by Maj Tom J Cunningham, and formation flights by nine planes. The program ended with a closed ceremony due to wartime.
