Maple 4 H Club members completed three Christmas projects in December. They decorated a tree for the International Home and gave cards and cookies to children, prepared gift baskets for Maple School staff, and decorated Shafter Convalescent Home dining tables. In January they shared reports on painted ornamental gourds and growing them, with Peters and Walworth presenting. Peters and Walworth entered the Wool Growers contest and received sewing kits after making jumpsuits. Eric Horn showed county fair slides, and the meeting closed with games and refreshments.
