Canine 4 joins Shafter Police Department partnership
Elf the German import joins Officer Chad Everett as the Shafter Police Department's new canine partner. The duo, officially Canine Officer 4, underwent 160 hours of training and are certified by POST. Elf's patrol car features a special door for rapid dispatch and he aids in drug enforcement at schools.
