Remodeling bids at Richland School and new admin building planned
On December 18 1968 bids were opened for remodeling at Richland School trustees gave preliminary approval to plans for an administration and music building and approved site layouts for both. A housing permit for 17 units was filed with Kern County Planning by Jay Pitts Leon Pitts and Ken Pitts. Dr Fields Caveness a nematologist at the U S Cotton Research Station Shafter accepted a post with the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture Ibadan Nigeria. Bettichards was named 1968 69 Winter Sports Queen of Shafter High at a varsity basketball game with Lindsay.
