RLSD adopts 11 buses with 360 degree strobe lights for fog safety
Richland/Lerdo School District plans two hour fog delays or closures when visibility drops below 500 feet. Eleven buses now feature top mounted white strobes to boost side and rear visibility while drivers rely on radar for crossing traffic. The district, led by Superintendent Dan Knapp, emphasizes safer delivery with permissive radar and strobe features and will post notices on radio and TV by 9 30 a.m. if conditions warrant delays or cancellation.
