Dean Gay of the Kern County Safety Council says the Traffic Violator’s School, a joint program with Kern County judges Bakersfield Evening High School and the Safety Council, is a successful tool in reducing accidents. The six week 18 hour course meets weekly at Bakersfield High School and has 40 students enrolled, with both court assigned and volunteer attendees receiving legal code background and driving scenario training.
