City to Break Ground on ITTC Rail Project
The City of Shafter will hold a groundbreaking ceremony from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the west end of Fanuechi Way north of 7 Standard Road. Attendees include representatives from Shafter, The Allen Group, BNSF and other government levels for a city owned rail line serving the ITTC industrial park. Marta Track Constructors of Ethel Washington conducts the construction as the project aims to provide rail service and extend the San Joaquin Valley’s southern rail reach.
