Gas leak closes Lerdo Hwy near Freeway 99
An anhydrous ammonia leak from a construction trailer pulled by D. Nelson Trucking of Salinas forced the closure of north and southbound lanes of Freeway 99 Lerdo Highway for over 30 minutes early Tuesday. CHP and County Fire sealed the leak by 4:00 am with detours in place and a chemist warning about exposure risks.
