Shafter hires two new officers including Richard Dixon
The Shafter Police Department added two full time officers. Richard A. Dixon, 34, born in the Los Angeles area, previously a deputy sheriff for about six years, now a Shafter resident and married to Coralee with three children. He served as Campus Life Director in Shafter and Wasco, works as a Flight Engineer Instructor in the Air Force Reserve, and was hired December 1 after three weeks as a part timer.
