County prepares radiological warning plan and shelter study
The Kern County Defense Council discussed equipping CMP patrol cars with radiological meters and expanding county alarm sirens. A 10 point emergency plan was created with leaders including Sheriff Le Roy Galyen and George Vales aiding public information. The U S Corps of Engineers will study fallout shelter standards with Whitney Biggar named to the study group.
