The California State Department of Agriculture reports the 1946 Seed Potato Certification Service Final Report lists all certified Irish seed potato growers. Director A A Brock of Sacramento oversees the certification publication released by the state agency.
Itinerant veterans will receive help for personal problems next Monday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Shafter Veterans Service Center located at the office of Jack Hare on Santa Fe Way and Central Ave. Harry Sockley of the Veterans Administration will be present each Monday to discuss issues with former servicemen living in Shafter. Sockley will speak on air Sunday at 8 30 over station KERN.
