Wind and tumbbleweed tale from a Shafter night drive
A writer recounts a windy night near Shafter California where a massive tumbleweed blocked traffic forcing three cars to stop and later a second, smaller weed was run over. Despite rain and a tuxedo, helpers moved a stranded vehicle, police arrived, and the wind kept blowing as the narrator muses on the old song Tumbling Tumbleweed.

Replacement Theology Debated in Jewish Christian Relations
A heated excerpt argues over whether God rejected Israel or whether replacement theology erases the Jewish people. It cites Romans 11 and Acts 3 to claim restoration promises remain for Israel via a remnant, while others warn replacement ideas fuel anti Jewish violence and demand equal access to the Bible for Jews and Gentiles. The text juxtaposes views on grace versus works and the continuity of God s promises.
