The California State Chamber of Commerce will push Congress to authorize four major flood control projects in the San Joaquin valley on the Kings Waweah Tule and Kern rivers. Total cost around 34.45 million with local contributions and federal funding to cover construction and maintenance, aimed at preventing annual flood damage estimated at about 2.9 million.
