The 23rd annual Kern County Mock Trial gathers 19 high schools to compete in random rounds and power matches at Superior Courts in Bakersfield Delano and Mojave on December 1 15 January 26 and February 16 from 6 to 830 p m The winning team advances to state competition March 18 20 in Riverside with the final Super Saturday on February 26 The case People v Kendall involves a community college student linked to drag racing and a death Public attendance is welcome and teams alternate defense and prosecution roles per round Shafter High is listed as participant.
