Ann Eliever Bartel of Bakersfield died August 21 2007 at age 98. Her family recalls her devotion to faith and family and her humor as she cared for siblings and worked at Shafter High School Brooks Department Store and other roles. Graveside service August 25 at Shafter Memorial Park under Peters Funeral Home. survivors include daughter Charlotte Steinert and many grandchildren. Also notices Laurence Hinkle 74 of Lamesa died August 20 2007 with services August 22 at Branon Funeral Home and burial in Dawson County Cemetery. Jack B Hammons 80 of Bakersfield died August 2007 with services August 17 and interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Survivors include wives, children, grandchildren, and numerous relatives.
