Vision Project seeks parental input on Shafter schools
A questionnaire distributed by the Vision Project aims to capture parental views on Shafter area schools. Superintendent Dan Knapp says mailings go home and task force members hand out the forms. Odis Waters Dies In Car Crash Near Paso Robles
A Shafter man, Odis Oncai Waters, 66, was killed August 18 when his Datsun collided with a car driven by Harold Harlan Hamill Sr. at Golden Hill Road and Highway 46. Mrs Waters was injured and later released from Twin Cities Community Hospital. Waters, longtime City of Shafter employee, and his wife Hazel were returning from Morro Bay and had planned their 48th anniversary in October. Memorial services were held August 26 at Peters Funeral Chapel.
