Taxpayers Group Opposes Three State Bond Issues
California Taxpayers Association calls for defeat of Proposition 1 the 150 million recreation bond Proposition 2 the 380 million state construction bond and Proposition 3 the 260 million school district loan bond citing unfocused use and rising debt. It backs Proposition 4 limiting veterans property tax exemption and opposes Proposition 5 raising widow exemption and Proposition 7 allowing public retirement funds in stocks due to lack of safeguards. Opposition was voted to the ballot measures in advance of the November 3 election.
