First Mennonite at Golden West and Wall Streets lists Rev Kenneth Ross as pastor with Sunday school at 10:00 am.

Chester Holdefer, 21, extradited from Des Moines Iowa, was found guilty of first degree robbery by an eight to four jury in Shafter California. He and John Keyes had held up Thriftway Market operator Douglas Mitchell with a .22 rifle, bound him with an apron and hose, and escaped with 200 dollars.
