Minter Field Wins 1.5 Million FAA Grant for Runway Rehab
Shafter's Minter Airport District will start restoring the crosswind north runway used for WWII pilot training after accepting a 1.5 million FAA grant. The four project package totals 2.6 million and includes east runway rehab, two new taxi lanes, street overlays, storm drainage, and overhead line removal, while the main runway remains open.
