Death inquiry stalls in Rodriguez case at Shafter cemetery
Detectives lack sufficient evidence in the death of 17 year old Maria Felita Madera Rodriguez whose body was found Aug. 2 along a canal near Lost Hills. A 17 year old Wasco youth detained for questioning was released as investigators remain tight lipped about how she was killed and whether a homicide charge can be pursued. The inquiry continues with no new details released by investigators or the coroner’s office.
