Deer Hides Now Sellable by Hunters Under New Law

California hunters may sell deer hides starting 10 days after the season ends. The 59 year old ban on hide sales was lifted except during World War II to curb commercial slaughter. Hides were salted and dried for storage, and wartime prices varied from 50 cents to 5 dollars per hide. Three Mexican states account for about 85 percent of that country’s coffee production.
