Sacramento tests a warning system at an interchange to deter wrong-way freeway entries. A pavement detector triggers a 12 inch red light a blaring horn and a red sign for drivers going the wrong way while amber signals warn oncoming traffic. Data will record time date and device activation to assess prevalence and guide further measures.
