Two deaths in separate crashes near Bay City and Maywood
A July 4 crash near Ro yo Grande killed a man instantly when his car left a curved road and plunged 30 feet. His wife was seriously injured and is recovering. The couple had no children. On July 24 Mrs Paul Portnoff, 73, of Maywood died after a period of poor health thought to be tied to her son’s sudden illness. Survivors include her husband and several children.
