Lifecall emergency system introduced in Shafter area
Lifecall, a portable emergency response device, was unveiled in Shafter to help independents live at home. The system, offered by the Ashley Group in Bakersfield, connects a worn button to a central monitoring station via telephone and computer. Lifeline already serves Kern Crest Manor and clients across several county communities with 805 area codes, aided by staff including Ashley Young, Lana Miller, and Audrey Kenny.
