Police crack check forging ring in Shafter case
Shafter police arrested ten people on charges of conspiracy and forgery after recovering about 200 blank checks and two typewriters. The suspects, nine men and one woman, allegedly forged payroll checks for 400 to 450 dollars each totaling about 11 000 dollars.
