Honor God National Day of Prayer reflection piece
The article traces National Day of Prayer origins from 1775 to a 1952 act, amended in 1988, establishing the first Thursday in May. It cites II Chronicles 7 14 as divine renewal for individuals and nations, urging revival through confession repentance and full devotion, and emphasizes corporate prayer as the source of spiritual power. It notes Acts 2 and Acts 12 as biblical examples of communal prayer yielding divine intervention.
