Shafter Council Proclaims Cinco de Mayo Week and Honors SHS Team
The Shafter City Council proclaimed April 29 to May 5 as Cinco de Mayo Days and honored Shafter High School boys basketball, undefeated in the South Sequoia League, with a commendation. It approved a 1.02 acre zoning change at Los Angeles and South Shafter, refinanced Water Tank 2 debt with Mission Bank at lower rates, approved a $71,664.33 dump truck cost, accepted Tract 6301 improvements, and agreed to switch inmate phone service from ATT to Global Tel-Link.
