Kern film official joins California panel on location work
Kern County Assistant Film Commissioner Dave Hook was named to the nine member executive board of Film Liaisons in California Statewide FLICS. Negotiations break down between county and probation officers
The Kern County Probation Officers Association rejected Kern County’s final offer to a new memorandum of understanding after county administrator Ron Errea presented it on March 14. Since April 2006 talks have seen a gap of over 10 million dollars with offers ranging from 12 percent over three years to potential 34 to 42 percent increases for officers. The impasse will be sent to the Kern County Board of Supervisors for possible mediation or remand for further negotiation.
