Kern Growers Oppose National Potato Marketing Order
A Kern County led opposition at a Bakersfield hearing on a proposed national potato marketing order. Neuman Botkin and other Kern leaders joined Arizona and Idaho critics in arguing the plan would freeze production, raise costs, and harm producer incomes. Proponents included five speakers, with Al Haddad from Kern among them.
