CSUB Hosts E-Waste Recycling Event April 29
CSUB partners with NexCycle the city of Bakersfield and County of Kern to offer a free electronic waste recycling event on Saturday April 29 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parking Lot I on campus welcomes residents and area businesses to dispose of items including computers phones radios and batteries under new state rules effective February 9.

California will put Jessica's Law on the November 2006 General Election ballot after the Secretary of State certified enough valid signatures. The measure would stiffen penalties for violent and habitual sex offenders, ban residence within 2000 feet of schools or parks, and require lifetime GPS monitoring. More than 524000 signatures were validated, far above the 373816 needed, with 700000+ signers overall.
