Pie Auction Succeeds for Shafter Historical Society
The Shafter Historical Society reports 2,772 dollars raised from last Thursday’s Pie Auction, with 37 pies sold and several record bids. Arly Feil stood in as auctioneer when the scheduled speaker could not attend, helping draw 90 attendees to a program that included music and a potluck. Funds exceeded 3,000 with separate donations, supporting depot museum plans and May festival activities. Volunteers are sought for setup, serving, and cleanup as the organization continues its preservation efforts.
