Pinto Bean Pie Recipe From Connie Mills of Shafter
Connie Mills of Shafter sends an unusual Pinto Bean Pie recipe to The Shafter Press. The mix includes pinto beans and sugar baked in a nine inch shell at 380 degrees for about 30 minutes, then topped with grape huts. She mentions other recipes to be printed later and notes she now mainly games dominoes at the senior center. Connie hopes to find a partner for a tournament this year and was photographed for the paper.
