Home Safety Week urged participation in Kern County
The Kern County Safety Council promotes Home Safety Week in April 1925 urging householder involvement. Warnings cover plastic nonflammable wastebaskets, cautions about polyethene baskets, dangers of dousing fires with water, drownings in bathtubs and pools, and avoid painting interiors with leaded paints. Detergents for dishwashers and other hazardous products are highlighted. Pamphlets are available from the council and Kern County Medical Society supports the observance.
