Richland seventh graders win fair housing contest awards

Richland Junior High School seventh graders Janet Johnson's class earned first through third place in the 2005 Fair Housing Arts Contest sponsored by the Bakersfield Association of Realtors. Cristina Hernandez won first in Essay Verbal Arts, Rosa Segura second, Yesenia Tellez third in Poster Visual Arts.

Tickets remain for the Shafter High School Band Booster tri-up fundraiser dinner and auction. Former SHS graduate Tim Dobbs donates a limousine ride as a prize.
