Shafter Council Honors Hall Ambulance Founder and Declares Cinco de Mayo
The Shafter City Council issued a proclamation for Harvey Hall of Hall Ambulance for seven years of service. Cinco de Mayo Days were declared from April 29 to May 5. The council amended Ordinance 06-581 to make certain private property traffic avoidance an infraction. A $5,000 grant from the State Department of Conservation of Recycling supports recycled product purchases and promotional recycling efforts. Brown and Fowler Construction won the gate way median project valued at about $439,739. The council backed the Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan and approved a narcotics vehicle for the Shafter Police Department from the California Multi-Jurisdictional Meth Enforcement Team.
