High Speed Rail plan draws public input in Bakersfield
The California High Speed Rail Authority hosted a scoping meeting in Bakersfield on March 26 to gather comments on the Merced to Bakersfield segment. The project envisions an 800 mile corridor linking San Diego and Los Angeles with San Francisco and Sacramento, with trains up to 220 mph and stations planned for Bakersfield, Fresno, Merced, and possibly Hanford Tulare. Comments are due by April 10 via email or mail to Sacramento officials.
