Alleged Booze Owner Is Released On Bond
Albert McCammon a Jennings county man was arrested Saturday morning while asleep in a misused flivver a five gallon jar of white mule found in the rear he was released today from the city jail on a 2500 bond to await trial in the circuit court for possessing liquor he had paid a 10 fine and costs for intoxication. Mayor C L Kessler set the bond after McCammon admitted intoxication but demurred to possession. Grover C Judy of Ohio was arrested Saturday night for drunk and pled guilty Sunday in city court receiving 10 and costs.

Man charged in fatal wreck released on bond
Harry Simon of North Vernon posted a 3009 bond after pleading intoxication and awaiting trial on involuntary manslaughter in the death of Charles H. Collins of Butlerville. Coroner Dickmeyer ruled Collins died from injuries in a wreck at Rockford caused by Simon's excessive speed. Gilbert Chasteen, 72, Dies at Home Following Illness
Gilbert Chasteen, aged 72, died at 10:10 this morning at his daughter Mrs Ira Rucker’s home on East Fourth Street after a six week illness. Funeral services will be at 2 PM Wednesday at the daughter’s home with Rev. A A Cohn officiating. Burial in Riverview cemetery. He was born December 2, 1854 in Scott county Indiana and was twice married to Catherine Barton and Jane Lizenby. Surviving are a daughter, a son Frank Chasteen, a brother Barnett Chasteen of Blocher Indiana, and a grandchild. He was a member of the Baptist church.
