Juvenile Probation Revoked and Youth Sentenced in Seymour
Judge John M. Lewis announced after a Tuesday juvenile court hearing that one offender involved in shoplifting in Seymour stores had probation revoked and was sent to the Indiana Boys School until age 21 or discharge by law. The court will issue notices to remaining youths as it assumes jurisdiction and plans further public actions in June.

Minor Two Car Crash Reported on Jeffersonville Avenue
Sgt Calvin W Theele investigated a minor two car crash at 4 29 p m Tuesday on Jeffersonville avenue 40 feet south of St Louis avenue. A 1962 sedan driven by Rex M Whitson 71 Seymour R3 backed from a parking place and struck the 1956 coach driven by Mamie W Kasting 55 of 112 South Poplar street traveling north. Damages totaled 45 to the Kasting car door and right front fender and 250 for a paint smudge on the Whitson rear bumper.

Starve Hollows Bathhouse Opens Memorial Day Near Wallonia
Starve Hollow Lake will open its new 10 room brick bathhouse on Memorial Day. The $52 937 06 facility at the 145 acre lake southeast of Wallonia was built by Bareford Hafield and Kellam Construction of Oolitic. It includes separate dressing rooms restrooms and lifeguard room with a full length eight foot wide concrete patio. Maurice Mullen will run the concession offering sandwiches soft drinks ice cream cotton candy popcorn and groceries. Seven lifeguards will be on duty for Memorial Day and large crowds are expected for the holiday and weekend with over 200 campers already at the site. Admission is 20 cents per car and per person over 12 to swim and picnic areas with camping fees a dollar per day.

Local Guard Unit Heads to Ft Knox for Field Training
National Guardsmen from Seymour depart for Ft. Knox Kentucky for two weeks of intensive field training beginning Saturday. The advance party leaves this morning to set up the training area as the main body travels from Freeman Field under Capt Allan B Dover.
