McNutt Admin Reports $1.6 Million State Saving

Road conditions return to normal after floods
Jackson county and southern Indiana suffered floods early this week. All Seymour district roads are open except U.S. 50 at Medora, SR 450 between Fayetteville and Warsaw, SR 62 between Corydon and Whitecloud, and SR 3 at Deputy. SR 56 remains closed at the 56 156 junction. officials hope to open 50 at Medora by Saturday. The high waters damaged crops across the county.

Funeral services are at 2:30 p.m. Sunday from the First Methodist Church with burial at Riverview Cemetery. He had lived in Seymour 18 years and served three terms as state bank examiner. Services for former local minister held in Indianapolis
Funeral services for the Rev. Frederick Daries aged seventy three were held at Zion Evangelical Church in Indianapolis where his son is pastor. Burial followed at Crown Hill Cemetery. Daries died Wednesday night at his daughter’s home in St. Matthews near Louisville after months of ill health. He was a Missouri native educated in Martinsville Missouri and retired after fifty years in ministry.
