A mobile X-ray unit will tour Jackson county from June 21 to 25 offering free chest X-rays to all residents. The schedule starts in Seymour on June 21 22 then Freetown and Medora June 23, Brownstown June 24, and Crothersville June 25. Indiana Conservation Department warns anglers that while crappies and bluegills may be fished, seining minnows remains forbidden until June 13. Minnows on hand or bought from licensed dealers stocked before May 1 may be used, but you cannot catch bass walleye or northern pike.

J Russell Mitchell former Shields High School principal now Purdue University teacher placement chief has been named Chief of Secondary Education for the military government in Bremen Germany. He departs May 25 by air for a one year assignment on leave from Purdue. Mrs Mitchell and daughter Betty plan to join him later in Germany. He is a well known state educator and brother of Mrs Ray R Keach and Fred Mitchell.
