Charles H. Wallace 54 of 900 West Second Street Seymour died at Schneck Memorial Hospital after four days of illness. A lifelong resident, he was a former Seymour fire and police member, deacon and board member of Central Christian Church, secretary of the Men’s Bible Class since 1917, and active in Modern Woodmen of America, Moose, and Knights of Pythias. Born May 14, 1880, he married Belva Reynolds in 1915. he had served as horse-drawn fire company driver before joining the police in 1914. He died following an emergency operation after Friday onset of illness. Funeral arrangements are pending.
