Seymour council sets hearing on revenue bill
The Seymour city council introduced Ordinance No. 22 to allocate 66,450 from Federal Revenue Sharing funds for streets equipment sewer work and personnel services with a first reading and second reading approval. A public hearing is set for 7 30 p m Monday May 21 in council chambers. Raymond Dauer was unnamed to the Economic Development Commission.

The final bloodmobile visit for Jackson County in this fiscal year is Thursday May 10 at First United Methodist Church Seymour from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Doctors Durbin Day Blaisdell and Templeton supervise with nurses aides registrars and other staff. Donors aged 18 to 65 in good health may report. processing takes about 45 minutes and donors must eat before donating. Red Cross notes volunteers donate up to five times yearly and all blood is used for center processing and distribution.

Brownstown area representatives from churches met Monday to approve advanced plans for a nursing home and retirement center by Christian Homes Inc of Illinois. George Gahr and John Becker outlined operations and community impact. Becker will visit in early 1974 to promote fundraising and project explanation. In Jackson Circuit Court two Bedford men William L. Owen and James M. Lee pleaded not guilty to first degree burglary in a Seymour home break‑in on Nov. 28 1972. Judge Robert R. Brown set the trial for July 26 and kept bond status. William P. Meece pleaded guilty to driving while suspended after arrest on Sept. 21.
