Two Men Fined In Seymour Public Intoxication Case
Two men were fined and one sentenced after arraignment in Seymour city court. Joe Crook, Wallonia WPA camp enrollee, paid 1 fine plus 10 costs totaling 11 dollars. Ed Heideman of Seymour received 11 dollars in fines and 25 days in Jackson County jail. Police arrested Crook about 11:30 Tuesday on a city street and Heideman was taken into custody around 6:20 Tuesday night on U S Route 31 near the Rockford river bridge.

Pony killed in highway accident near Seymour
A pet pony owned by Robert Ellis and tied to the Ellis residence on U S Road 31 was killed when it wandered onto the highway and was struck by a truck about 3 am. The incident occurred near the Sylvester Richart home east of the Van Sickle service station. The truck driver’s name was not learned. The pony, believed to have wandered from the Ellis farm after a gate blew open in the wind, was about a mile from the farm when hit.

Three Hurt in Crash Near Cincinnati

Accident Reported After Saturday Collision on State Road 135
A late Saturday crash on State Road 135 north of Salem involved Delbert Pilman driving south to overtake E. Miller and Oliver Tipon’s cars. Mrs. Oliver Tipon of Salem was injured. The Pilman car was owned by Nina Pilman of Brownstown, with other vehicles in the collision. The incident was reported Tuesday to Officer Menlo C. Turner at the Seymour state police post.
