Former Seymour Man Killed In Auto Crash Near Washington
Dewey Neister 35 a Baltimore and Ohio dispatcher and Seymour resident was killed instantly in an auto crash on a hill between Bicknell and Washington Saturday afternoon. Hart McKay escaped injury and W A Richards suffered severe injuries and is hospitalized at Washington. All three worked in B and O shops at Washington and were returning from a trip to Bicknell when the crash occurred.

Ke Steup of the Indiana Inspection bureau met with Fire Chief Frank P. Colemeyer and Mayor W. Burkart to discuss a half day and two night firemen’s instruction school. The program covers modern firefighting, apparatus handling, drill operations, salvage, inspections, hazards, rescue, first aid and arson investigations. Frank Smith Pleads Not Guilty After Liquor Raid
Frank Smith of Seymour, who had pleaded guilty to liquor possession in the justice court of Claiborne County, changed his plea to not guilty before Judge James A. Cox. He is out on a $300 bond and the case moves to Jackson Circuit Court. Police raided his home and seized twenty six cases of home brew a quantity of whiskey and empty bottles.
