Southern Indiana youth bicycle group completes 200 mile trek
A 27 member junior high group from the Southern Indiana Conference United Methodist Church finished a five day Scenic Circuit tour. Starting near Brown County State Park Monday, the riders covered 200 miles to reach Freetown Friday night with five adult leaders and minimal injuries. Monte Deschner of Seymour was one participant and recalled camping nights and hard riding. the cycle caravan traveled through Starve Hollow Lake Clifty Falls and Versailles State Park stopping for meals and camping along the route.

Vocational Tours Conclude At Seymour High School
A three week summer vocational workshop at Seymour Senior High School ended Friday with a luncheon at 11 30 a m at the Elks Club. High school teachers from Seymour Brownstown Columbus Greensburg North Vernon Crothersville Connersville attended the closing session to evaluate the program.

Indiana Vocational Guidance workshop in Seymour
Edinburg and Scottsburg joined a state summer workshop under the Vocational Guidance Division of the Indiana State Department of Public Instruction. Jack P. Miller coordinated the program with Janis Graves as secretary. Participants earn three semester hours of graduate credit from St. Francis College. The three week course included plant tours in Seymour and Columbus and sessions after each tour. The final tour visited Central Pharmaceutical Company at 116 118 East Third Street.

Disorder Erupts in Kokomo for Second Straight Night

A phased out Clark County school will become a youth home and guidance center run by Clark-Floyd Youth Inc. Judge Robertson hopes a Jackson County version follows.
